So You Think You Need Money to Flip A House? Umm... No!

Hey Gorgeous!  Welcome to Hey Rich Girl. There’s a lot of new faces around here so I wanted to take some time out to formally introduce myself.  My name is Cynthia Cuccuini and I have been doing real estate for over 10 years now.

I first got started on this exciting real estate journey when I lost my corporate job. I was a single 24 year old girl with no money and no job living in Pittsburgh.  Yes, I’m a Steelers fan.  Yes, I was devastated.  But, also tired of being a slave to corporate America and being told what to wear, what time to come to work, etc.

Here are some useful tips on how you too can get started with real estate investing today!
 

1. Invest In Yourself

It was then that I decided that if I was going to become a real estate investor, then this was the best time to do it.  I was already down on my luck and there was nowhere to go but up.  So I took the time to invest in my education first and learn as much as possible to minimize the risk of investing in real estate.

I took classes on lease options and how to use other people’s money to buy houses without a bank. I networked with seasoned investors to learn from them.  Today I specialize in teaching these creative financing techniques to our members at Hey Rich Girl.

2. Learn As Much As You Can Each Day

That first year, I flipped 2 single family homes and acquired a triplex.  And guess what?  I was not even a real estate agent at the time. It was not until later, that I finally gave in just to have access to the MLS.

Over the course of 5 years, I continued to grow the business by flipping houses and investing in more rental properties.  The best advice is to surround yourself with other successful people and learn from their experience.

3.  Don't Try To Re-Invent The Wheel

Then, I met my wonderful husband and up & moved the real estate company to a completely different state.  It was so scary to start all over!  I had to learn a whole new real estate market.  But at the end of the day, I was able to expand the real estate business to multiple states to help even more people.

The best part is that I was able to duplicate the exact investment system in the new state and it worked even better!
